This is a beautiful Kestner doll , she dates from 1892.

Her large brown  glass eyes open and close perfectly, she has an open mouth which  reveals four original teeth, and her ears are pierced.

She has a curving hairline high up on her forehead, this is very hard to see with the naked eye. I have shown a picture in close-up.

 Her head is impressed on the back with the number 192.

Her dark blonde wig is a replacement and is good quality with nice ringlets.

She is on a quality body with all the original paint and sheen and the extra ball joints at the shoulders. The tip of one finger is broken off and some age rubbing at a couple of the joints but it is a good strong Kestner body.

She is wearing a white cotton Victorian dress, two pieces of underwear and cream shoes.

I would usually expect to sell a doll of this quality for around £600.
