A superb Japanese Ichimatsu girl doll in immaculate near mint condition. She dates from the 1930's Everything about her is original. Her papier mache head is excellent with dark brown glass eyes. She has pierced nostrils and a delicately painted closed mouth. Her black wig is in lovely condition. Her head and lower limbs are all papier mache/ gofun material and I can find no damage, a tiny bit of paint loss to the tips of four finger on her right hand, hard to see. There are no open seams on any of her limbs. Her head swivels in the shoulder-plate.

Her embroidered outfit is stunning, the colours are still vibrant, she has her original silk socks with the shaped toes. Attached to her band at the front is a book with paper pages inside and a holder with a metal double pin inside with fine chains and metal discs . I have never seen this before. She comes ready for display with her own stand.
