This doll has a stunning face, she was made by Simon and Halbig for the French market and dates from 1895. Her beautiful blue glass eyes open and close perfectly, all of the eyelid wax is intact. Her open mouth reveals four original teeth. She has the heavy eyebrows of the French dolls and her ears are pierced. She has a perfect head and it is impressed on the back S&H 1079 - DEP - Germany. She is on her lovely walker body with all the original paint and sheen, when you move her legs her head rotates from side to side . I dont think it is her original wig but was with her when I bought her and suits her well. She is wearing her original factory dress with pink underskirt and matching pantaloons. It is very rare to find a doll still in her genuine original clothes. I have added the shoes and socks.Her raffia bonnet is vintage and has the remains of silk ribbon attached.
